I find the 1M to be on the heavy side too. Having a tough time deciding what the next step is for a dedicated track car. Ap2 S2000 seems to be the most logical choice but I just can't see myself in one. E36 M3 would be awesome.

Troof. Almost new tires on my E92M were worn the fuck out after 3 hours of track time. Brakes were barking like my feet after hiking for 6 hours too. Great GT car, but would needs a serous diet to make it track enjoyable for me. Just felt like i was causing the car to tear itself apart. E36-46 was more enjoyable on the track. All due to weight.

Nah, won't do it with mine either. I won't argue "car stats" because I'll be the first to admit, I have the car because I think it looks cool. Not because of specs.

I have weight+ (manual) transmission against me.

I simply enjoy driving it on the highway, to the gym, take the pup to the vet, etc.

However, I have raced e46 m3, e92 m3s, and GTRs in my 2014 M6 last year on the street off a roll. Each one- wasn't even close.

Plus- the presence of the m6 compared to all of the above, no contest. It's like a boys car next to a mans car.

I posted facts, not opinions. They do testing, trials, qualifications etc. to familiarize the drivers with the track and their cars limits before the race.

In F1, that's how they determine pole positions.

*This position is typically given to the vehicle and driver with the best qualifying time in the trials before the race. Each driver gets multiple laps and they use his fastest lap.

Some guys are man enough to choose the other cars because they are a better drivers car. If you gave me an M6 I'd sell it in a heart beat. And i think they are great. I'm not a fan of the styling, but i think they look good and for someone who wants a big, heavy, fast, GT car; it's a great option.
