Do any public charging stations has staff on duty 24/7. I guess the answer is no. Charging stations can be setup in the middle of no where. Answer is yes. Then this is a real safety concern. Lucky it doesn't matter to me, because I am not a EV owner

My mother told me a long time ago that nothing good happens after midnight. That includes charging your EV or filling up your ICE.

It's also not a huge concern for most of the civilised world because they can't walk into a Walmart and buy enough weaponry to invade a small country. Just sayin.

I'm a competitive (IDPA) Shooter and a licensed concealed carry holder and am generally packing and I'm pretty civilized and being armed these days means others should be pretty "civilized". But I still don't hang out at charging stations and filling stations late at night. That is just plain stupid.

I know lets have convenience stores at these charging stations because nothing bad ever happens in them?
Tech Tip. Charge at home and live longer, Gas up during the day in a high traffic gas station and pay at the pump and get the heck out of there and live longer. It's just that easy.

You tech tip is the best advice for the whole year. Even for a veteran with 15 years of close combat experience. I cannot say I always feel comfortable when I am walking down the streets. You can't assume everyone is civilized.

According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Jonathan Mauk arrived at the Walmart parking lot at around 8 p.m. and was searching for an open spot. As he maneuvered his vehicle through an aisle, the female suspect, Norton, was backing out of a parking spot.

"For whatever reason, the victim stopped and slowly backed his vehicle up, and that’s when he had a collision with the suspect’s vehicle," Capt. Nelson Carrington told KTLA.
The female suspect, identified as Shawntece Norton, 36, got out of her vehicle, shot Jonathan Mauk in the face and drove off.
Police said no one was hurt in the collision and that the minor fender bender resulted in just a scratch or two, KTLA reported.

My office building used to be open to the public and every few weeks there are people coming in and pretend to be the employee in the building. They walk through every office cubicle and search for things to steal. Laptops, wallets.... I happen to be there a few times and confront them. Do you know what they told me? They said, you want me to put a hole in your body (they are pointing a pocket knife at me). In my situation, they are down on the floor in no time. But not everyone has the training I have. Is it scary and raise a concern to the public, I think so.
