^This! I love the Rolling Stones! Shit, they are almost my fathers age and still rocking.

The Stones are playing at JazzFest this year, tickets in hand! The Who played a couple years ago and put on a great show!!

Figure we better see these guys while you can, never know when you wake to see someone has passed away. That happened when Tom Petty played at Jazzfest in 2017, awesome show and sure enough turned out to be one of his last shows...

Wife and I average about six shows a year or so. So far just this summer we got tix for four different shows, Bob Seger, Blues Traveler, Smashing Pumpkins, The Who. Three of them at Jones Beach. Wife is good at getting tix as soon as they go on sale, she gets emails on tix releases and sometimes she gets great bargains on groupon.

Tend to only go to orchestras or symphonies. I’ve been to a Metallica concert and another rock concert I can’t remember, and not really a fan. Too many morons.

That was my third trip and I always have a blast. I think the south is one of my favourite places.

We did get to the Channel parade on Saturday, I can't believe how you folks do St. Paddy's day. Huge party on the route and every side street around it. lots of cook outs going on the street. I will definite PM you next time. And I'll pick up a round as well.

Corgan and Co. put on a hell of show when we saw them last year. 3+ hours long.

And apparently over the years, Corgan has turned into a bit of a shredder. I had no idea as I haven't listened too much of their recent stuff.

Deftones killed it when I saw them a few years ago.

My dad really dug it, "Those guys are heavy!" Of course, my dad also went to see Ghost the week before I took him to see Gojira, his exact words after we walked out of the Gojira concert.

"Gojira just made those boys in Ghost look like a bunch of pussies."

The girlfriend and I were going to see ol' Billy and the group last year and for whatever reason decided not to go. I haven't really listened to any of their newer stuff. I would say Melancholy was the last album I listened to. I did get to see James Iha with A Perfect Circle last year so that was kind of dream of mine since I was a teenager. My father got me an electric guitar and lessons for Christmas one year and I was determined to learn to play Mayonnaise off Siamese Dream; one of the hardest songs I learned and had to get both lead and rhythm in. Iha is extremely talented and technical although his presence with A Perfect Circle is over shadowed by the boys from The Eagles of Death Metal and of course Billy Howerdel and Maynard.

I'd definitely be down to see Smashing Pumpkins though.

Chino's voice is something else man. There are only a few artists that I truly enjoy their voices. Buble, Amy Winehouse and Chet Faker would be just a few. The Deftones are just something altogether different. They are heavy, they are hard, they are soft....it's just a perfect mix of everything. Amazing music to have on in the background for a prolonged sexual encounter, Saturday Night Wrist especially.

A guy I used to work with goes to every Deftones show in proximity and gets backstage damn near every time. He brought me back a bunch of swag that Chino gave him like stickers, a patch and a box of guitar picks from the Diamond Eyes tour. I have one of Carpenters picks that he played with at that show.

A friend of mine just recently introduced me to Ghost....pretty strange little band.

Here's one that shocked me - O.A.R. I am not a pop music fan and can't stand pop songs. My girl really liked them so I bought her tickets as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago. I've heard some of their songs that they play on the radio which are tolerable. So, I went to see them at a small theater named the Paramount in Huntington, NY. Great place to see a concert. They are a jam band! I wasn't expecting much, but they came out and just rocked the house. I had to sit through their commercial stuff, but the rest of time was pretty damn good. They have a trumpet player and sax player and they know how to blow. If they come near you, I would recommend seeing them. Definitely worth the price of admission.

I've attended several concerts in my time. But lately... Not so much.

The price gauging for even decent seats, much less good seats is fucking ridiculous! Then you have to contend with traffic, parking, obnoxious people and possibly having to stand the entire time just to see over other people standing.

Hard Pass from me!

I haven't been to one in a while. The last couple I went to were country concerts (yes a female influenced me to go) and it was ridiculous. Over priced and people just generally act like assholes. A bunch of tough guy rednecks trying to fight each other, and drunk people stumbling everywhere. Traffic was a nightmare, etc.

Lately I've been going to comedy shows at the local casinos. Much more enjoyable. See a show, get a nice dinner and a drink and gamble for a bit.

Not a concert but I just bought tickets to The Beastie Boys Story Told By Ad Rock & Mike D, Directed By Spike Jonze. Super psyched and can't wait. Been rocking out to them since '85.

Probably the most quoted song in my life is BB's: Every 2 weeks, without fail, I sing to myself "You've got to fight, 4 your right" because my right contact lens is -4.0

I was working on a computer, and the guy I was helping is a HS math/physics teacher. He pointed out the vertical blinds in his cabinet doors, that he made himself. The pattern was INTENTIONALLY Fibonacci!!!!
