I like M3's from the 1990's the best.

For all intensive purposes, either way seems OK to me.

It is humorous, and ironic I suppose, when people decide to give other people a grammar, punctuation, or spelling lesson and make errors of their own during their teachable moment.

I know I make mistakes when I post. I probably have a misteak right here in this post. So, I'd be the last guy to call out another poster on such matters.

Oh I make mistakes often but usually when I'm in a hurry to type and don't pay close attention. I like how you added a red flag in your sentence there, lol.

I almost never correct people because I know it can be annoying. It just so happens the OP created a thread specific to a topic I have always thought about because I notice the misuse of apostrophes often when people simply want to convey a plurality of an object.

if its work related I care. On a forum or any other text, I could care less. capital letters don't even bother me. Can you tell? Half the time me phone auto corrects and I don't care enough to go back and fix it.

The meet up was great, lots of M3's, M4's, and M8's.

And I'm a finance guy, I can only imagine what the English majors (not major's) think.
I suspect it's primarily due to auto-correct.

No, it's not. If that were true, the so-called "auto-correct" function would not actually be correct. Lol.

Does.... Not....Compute.

Is that supposed to be a question? It's certainly a different spin on the original saying.

The she in question passed Monday night. I was trying (poorly, obviously) to adapt the saying to the situation at hand on Tuesday, and make my condolences to the family.

Ahh I see. In that context it actually works I think. I had never heard it used that way. I'm sure the family appreciated the gesture.

BTW, I am by no means a grammar expert.
