One thing to keep in mind is that probably 5% of people care about the difference between fwd and rwd. Another thing to keep in mind is Honda knows how to make a fwd car handle very well. I would imagine that the new TSX will slalom a little faster than a 328i.

I had a TL and the dealer gave me the previous generation TSX many times as a loaner. So I've got lots of experience with these cars.
The TL/TSX are designed for different market segment than our E9x cars. The TL/TSX are sportier than most cars, but our E9x cars go to next level, especially with ZSP. I haven't driven the new TSX/V6, but I doubt it will come close to matching the handling of our cars. Virtually every automotive writer says our cars are the best handling sport sedans, period. You not only have physics going against you with FWD, you've got Acura setting up these cars for a much larger market segment. An E9x with ZSP and RFT's is a pretty extreme car compared to most cars. It is way off the mark for "normal" non-enthusiast drivers. It takes a real enthusiast to appreciate the stiff, sometimes harsh ride. The TL/TSX are pretty nice cars that are sportier than most and they'll cost less to maintain. But our cars come much closer to being the perfect sports sedans and they are worth a few extra bucks to enthusiasts. |

I think that Acura went seriously down hill with the TSX re-design. They took a clean and sex potential rich car and did plastic surgery and it went wrong. The previous gen had a lot going for it... the gear box (6 speed) was great and it had a better motor than a Type S... K24 which LOVES boost. The only problem is it was under powered for a car that wasn't very light and it was FWD. Now this... WTF.
Now THESE are the TSX's I'd want in my garage: I would have opted for black or bronze instead of lime buttttt |

I highly doubt the new TSX will be priced like the 328...more like TSX = 128 pricing

Believe it. Honda thinks that the TSX should be good enough to take on the overpriced ripoff. You will get everything a loaded 328i comes with at the price you expect it to start at (34,000).

That was what everyone thought and hoped the redesigned TSX would look like. The picture is at least 2 years old.
I think the new TSX is like the G37 coupe..they tried to do too much. I've seen both old TSX and new TSX parked next to each other, in the same color as well....and I thought to myself how the old one looked nicer. The lines were subtle and smooth and not so 'loud' like the new one. |
