I think you're both missing the point here. The only time I would ever draw my weapon on someone is if my life or family was in danger. In this kind of situation it's "kill or be killed."

You don't have time to sit around and think about what is "politically correct" or you'll be dead.

Trying to disarm, injure, or pepper spray someone when they have a gun and you don't usually won't end up so well for you.

Judgement and responsibility are key here. You don't go around waving your gun threatening people. Obviously you don't aim to use deadly force in every situation. If someone wants my car, they can have it. I'm not going to get killed over something stupid. Now if my life is in serious jeopardy or my families and the attacker has a weapon, he's going down.

I think you should READ what I wrote. I said would rather NOT kill anyone if I could help it. Now if he has a gun and is pointing it at me, I can only assume he is going to kill me before or after he takes my wallet. So yes, in that instance i would kill his sorry ass if I had the chance. This is the statement I responded to. Thanks for clarifying.

Hell yes they do, hit someone in the right spot hard enough and they're dead. That is if it is a "true police- baton".

You actually have to take a class to legally carry one.

I know a crazy old ex- marine, guy's like 70+ and drives a lifted Dodge truck. (Pretty much looks like a monster truck covered in crazy marine stickers) He's a security guard and he showed me one of those batons, they're brutal.

Killing someone who has a gun pointed at you with your gun is self defense, i think you missed the point. Self defense can constitute use of a deadly weapon and lethal force in situations where your life is in immediate danger. The use of any weapon and/or lethal force is for self defense or sport, what country and laws do you live and abide by where you can do different?!?!?!?!?

Edit: There's a difference between homicide and murder. I said murder or assault someone, nothing about not killing someone.

Originally I was agreeing with REVNU. In a situation where a gun had to be pulled, that usually means shoot to kill, not disarm or injure. The ONLY time I would ever use a gun on someone is in a life-threatening situation, and you don't have time to think about the legal ramifications and what's "politically correct".
