I just took the survey as well. I agree with others who feel that the interior shots were so poor that they are virtually indistiguishable from one another. The service center question was also impossible to answer. I go to the dealer with the best service, not the nicest looking parking lot.
I actually think the GTR is a great car but they gave it a feature (launch control) that will void your warranty if used. That don't make no sense! I also think the lack of a manual turns off a good amount of buyers, however I do understand that they would not be able to achieve such a blistering 0-60 figure using three pedals. Apparently these numbers are directly correlated to the joy of driving to some buyers.

don't usually do surveys but both my bro and sis are undgrads there so i'll help you out
oh and to improve sales? stop selling it to faggots, I like the car itself but 95% of them are driven by losers who know nothing about the car and just have mommy and daddy's money to support them

My cousin used to have a GTR(lease), amazing car! I loved it! It was a beast to drive, but its not a car you could drive on a daily basis where speed limits are 45. The first time when I drove his car, I pulled out of my subdivision and next thing I know I am already at 85mph which is why I say it cannot be driven on a daily basis. It took corners like a dream, handled the roundabouts like a dream. I found the handling on that car to be better then our BMW's, but then again, not sure if I should compare both cars. Btw, completed the survey for you

"Most" is correct. I'd rather buy a 997.2 RS but then again I haven't driven the 991 GT3 yet.

The GT-R sells in low numbers because: 1. It only comes in one version the 2 door coupe 2. Its pretty hardcore 3. Pricing...it's not cheap 4. It's not a Corvette or 911...those two cars I would guess account for most sportscar sales between $50-130K. The GT-R is a great car but it was always destined to be a low volume car and I'm pretty Nissan knew that coming in. What it does do is be a great halo car and proves that Nissan can take on a Porsche or Corvette at their own game. |

GT-R is not a Nissan. It is a GT-R. And BMW is no better, they are as common as VW. BMW is the new GM with premium price-tag.
Other than that, I agree that not everybody should like the GT-R. But badge argumentation is for posers. I agree GT-R is not cheap, but it is not overpriced as Porsche or BMW for example. |

KwlAznkid, they are trying to find a way to increase sales with this survey. Your suggestion to them is to discontinue selling the car to certain people. WTF????

Insensitivities aside, he has a point about the boy-racer demographic that seems to gravitate toward the car. I have seen a few dozen on the road and it never looks like a guy in a suit driving to work. It's typically a <30 guy in a tshirt driving like an asshole. There is a tuning shop right down the road from me and they are constantly flying out of that place. This ownership pattern creates a stigma that may turn off certain buyers.

survey done. Personally i loved the skylines growing up, but now that I'm doing all my driving in the real world and not on Gran Turismo, the appeal isn't there. I'm gravitating to European brands where design and feel of the materials is high on the list, just look at the interior of Jaguar's F-type. Performance is not the same of course, but on a day-to-day basis, 0-60 isn't everything and 5 seconds is hardly slow in comparison.
Now I have a buddy who just traded his e9x M3 and ML 550 for a '12 jeep SRT8 and he's looking at buying a '14 GTR but he works from home and only drives the car for fun so his needs are different than mine. For him 0-60 and driving sideways is everything

I did the survey for you, however, I am disapointed.
There si no question about exterior design or about the interior design. Color scheme is one thing, however, there is no question about the quality of the interior. To be honest, One of my buddys bought one and he is still mad at me for my comment regarding the plastic that I found it cheaper than the old american Focus. It is my opinion that the exterior design is not apealing at all (to me), and the interior design is very very ugly. For that car a nice modern dashboard and central console should be in there. There are hundreds of cars at half price with a beautiful interior design. Also at that price, I was expecting good materials and aluminium, not cheap silver plastic. My Accord Coupe has aluminum everywhere no plastic. The car has nice specs but terrible interior design and materials. One more thing, I know it is a sport car, but man you need chewing gum and a kidney doctor after each ride. It is still a car not a cart so build it as such. Look at M division. The answer for Nissan is simple: regardless of the tech specs the car it is not apealing to the consumer that can choose many other cars. Not at this price. Also, a Coupe at this price, addresses to a small fraction of drivers with a certain revenue (which usualy comes at a certain age <with some exceptions>), you must be careful what are you offering in order to make it a success. The young ricers love it but don't have the money. The more rational mature buyer might love the specs but that is only one part of the ample process of the decison. There are a lot of comments here on how people were considering it but got an M3 instead due to the price. What people don't realize is that is has super car performance for its price. Nissan's issue is giving it in the interior, exterior, and image to compete with super cars as well.

It's been said before in this thread, but I think the premise that Nissan doesn't sell enough GTR's or needs to improve GTR sales is flawed. If I were Nissan, I'd be more worried about the Z. My guess is that both will be gone soon, and that the Z eventually returns significantly down market.
