I don't even know where to put this...

I'm driving to work this morning, on the interstate and I pass a guy in a pick up truck AND HIS MIRRORS ARE FOLDED IN? WTF is wrong with people. I'd like to give him the benefit of doubt and think that maybe the folding mechanism got stuck that way and he was on his way to the dealer but I don't have that much faith in humanity.

The vast majority of people do not know how to properly set their side view mirrors anyway (…hint: if you can see your own car in the mirrors, they are not set properly).

Absolutely! People drive around at night in darkness without headlights on and don't even realize it. It makes me feel even less guilty for citing them……and it's an expensive penalty. People are oblivious!

Absolutely nothing wrong with that person! Gasoline is expensive you know, and the reduced air drag from driving at highway speeds with those mirrors folded in could save the driver a fortune...especially if they were those monster Ford Superduty billboards.

Was this sighting in NJ? If so, sideview mirror possession and use is optional in that state.....

It is crazy how many people I see doing this. I guess because of automatic headlights, they turn the switch off of auto and have no clue that they are driving around at night with just daytime running lights on, if any at all.
