Perhaps you could make reference to the constitutional monarchy in New Zealand and segue in that said picture has been requested, nay, demanded, by the King.

She may think you are still referring to the governance of NZ, and you don't have to let her know that it was actually self proclaimed King Rudi instead.

Just something to consider.

Who me? Change my name??? That's crazy talk. In amidst of all this racial tension, I felt it was the responsible thing to do as not to offend anyone.

I have an indoor workshop for woodworking with a dust collection system so I'm not too concerned with having a dust port on the circular saw given that I only ever use it outdoors. Inside I'd use the table saw or miter saw.
I just have a jobsite table saw so I still break sheet goods down with my circular saw, hence really wanting the dust port attachment.

Last week I dug a 100' drainage ditch, since my back left corner is super low compared to the neighbors and all of their water drains into it, so I had 7+" of standing water when we get S. FL rains.
Put a tee in for later, as I will have new gutters installed and a downspout to run direct underground to connect to the tee

This Saturday we had to install weather stripping and fill in the gaps around my garage door. (Just bought this house) I had a 3.5" gap all around my door with nothing to seal out weather or Florida's famous roaches and lizards from crawling into my garage. Sadly I only took 1 before shot.
Used 2x4's, several sizes carriage bolts, garage stripping, and white sealant to get the edges

Slowly making progress. We're down to paint/caulk touch-ups, installing the vent hood shroud (angled ceiling giving us fits), and a couple of cabinet tweaks.

Here's a view from the kitchen into the dining room/area.

Also got a chance to get some wallpaper hung early this week. This is a short wall section between the living room and the kitchen.

I also hung this swanky (real brass) Cedar and Moss globe light over the kitchen sink. Ignore the ceiling paint touch-up needed, please.

Oh, we also got a new record cabinet from a great place in Seattle called Tomfoolery Wood Co. If you need some custom wood furniture, give Dan a look.

damn hooligan_COLD you are just all in on that style. I feel like the style of my house changes from room to room, mainly due to the wife.

Yeah, the house kind of demands it. Thankfully the wife and I were looking for a mid century modern home, specifically.

Indeed. It's the medium sized version, IIRC. Seats 6 easily with no leaves installed, 8-10 when expanded.

I have the same one - we have it expanded to seat 8. Also have the media console, banquet, small bar cabinet, cafe chairs and a couple upholstered mid-century dining chairs.

Hey h_C...How's the quality of the Cedar & Moss pendant?...I'm looking at the Athena sconces for the 3rd fl bath I'm working on right now...but I haven't seen any Cedar & Moss stuff in person, unfortunately.

TIA

Pretty good, IMO. This is the only C&M fixture we have, so my experience is admittedly limited. I haven't heard anything bad about their stuff, though.

I like those sconces - good choice!

We have the bed and a dresser from them - counter stools at the island - a couple of light fixtures, bedside lamps, the "desk" in my office is actually one of their small dining tables.

Living room is pretty well wrapped up now. The wife just finished styling the new bookcases from Pottery Barn today - wanted the look of a mid century modern wall system without all the fuss.

Just need to clean up the cords under the media console - zip ties and velcro just got delivered today...
