The narrow body arches with the quad tips is a bizarre look on a BMW
From what I can tell it has a small dash-to-axle, meaning its likely an X1 M35i or whatever the hell they'll call it.

Anxious to learn what variants of the next X3 will likely be available here in the U.S. A "smaller scale" version of today's X5 45e would be perfect for our use case...give me 30-40 miles of pure electric range but utility of the ICE for longer highway trips.... Here in the Midwest, charging infrastructure is pretty sparse. Timing s/b about right for "retirement" of our '15.5 Volvo V60 CC....

This is probably the latest update on the spy shots, which show the parts of the interior.

Looks like the glass controls are coming to it, much like how the G2X is supposed to also get glass controls in MY24.

Will the next X3 redesign be for 2024 or 2025? When is it likely to make it to US dealers?

Last paragraph of article:

Our spy sources believe an official debut will happen in the late stages of 2023. That likely means the next-gen X3 will debut for the 2024 model year.

I would love the flat bottom steering wheel like in my old Audi S4 and the quad tailpipes for M40i models. I don’t under the logic of giving the M40i less pronounced trapezoidal tailpipes like they do now.

Not that I think they'll do quad pipes on an M40, but BMW is blurring true M lines enough I could almost see them do it.

spring/summer around corner - should we be seeing 2024 x3 with these new changes?

It seems like that would be kinda soon since the LCI was just last year.

Am I the only one who can't unsee a Nissan Rogue in those spy photos? (pecifically the rear part of the car)

My interpretation is, and I think yours too, let me know, is BMW will announce the G45 in Q4, say at a venue like the LA Car Show in Nov, and SOP will be March ‘24 as as ‘25 model.

Not a fan of any of the design aesthetics, TBH, but especially that gaping maw front and the “arrow” DRLs. We’re about to order a 2023 M40 and super glad to be getting it before they ruin it, like the 4 series…or even the 3 series for that matter.

According to this thread which is rarely wrong on dates, the new X3 (G45) will go into production in August 2024.

I've been so pleased with the F97 that the G97 X3MC list would be short for me:

1. True slick top - no pano or rails
2. Painted roof and side windshield trim (not the cheap grey rubber/plastic)
3. Lowered 1/2"
4. 265/295 wheels
5. Option to confirm PS4S from factory - even if have to pay more, rather than always playing the tire lottery
6. 40-50HP tune like current St1 offerings
7. Don't go all digital (leave us some buttons & knobs)
8. CFRP option for roof (you knew I'd mention it)
Looks good to me.

Thanks for sharing, Tim@codemybimmer.

Encouraging to see it sans pano and with an apparent clean redesign of the forward roof rails which now appear to extend all the way to the windshield. Current model rails awkwardly stop 2-3/4" (70mm) before reaching the windshield and then adjoin dull rubber/plastic molding which runs along the windshield sides. This hopefully should now allow a straightforward option for roof rail deletion with painted strips instead so we can finally have a true slick top possibility.
