Man, no wonder I can't relate to all the young people on this forum.
I grew up below the poverty line; my dad was an elementary school teacher. He now drives an '80s Dodge turbo minivan that he bought for $100, though with his post-Polio syndrome, he doesn't drive it as much anymore, and my mom often drives when they have to go places. They also have a $500 '81 Civic wagon.
