I like the front a lot! It looks very aggressive but the back isn’t my favorite. Saying this I’m sure it will grow on me.

I’m assuming they come with laser lights?? Is that a standard thing now, or is it too early to know?

Sometimes I don't get BMW community. They hate previous models once, but when a new one comes by, they start loving the previous model.

this is a render and not real car, i dont understand the critique of it as if its BMWs design. The real one probably isnt exactly this, and the exact is the key word for commenting design of the thing. Ill wait for official reveal. This is an X1 with 5er front to me.

The Neue Klasse X looks much more modern and still uniquely BMW

Jen’s take:
1- BMW has lost their way in the looks department with this G45
2- The front grill is horrendous looking
3- The weird overly dramatic wheel arches are horribleo
3- The front headlights are way over designed and not BMW like in the least
4- The squared off hood edge is hideous
5- The rear end is just bizarre looking and not sporty (even with quad exhaust)

Prediction- This new G45 will struggle to help BMW retain G01 M40i owners/loyalists like me.
Fortunately the X5 still looks great.

Sadly, I think this rendering is going to end up being virtually identical to the final reveal.
My M40i looks better now to me than ever…

Am I on my own in thinking those concepts aren’t necessarily a step forward. Sure, looks very different from anything else on the road, but I feel like it is someone in the 80s trying to design something for 2050, versus something truly functional and progressive.

With that said, I understand they are concepts and not what final product will necessarily look like.

BMW seems obsessed with the monochrome scale on everything but their full-//M cars. These X3s get whites, blacks, greys, and grey with a hint of blue.

I wonder if they'll once again do Aventurine and Tanzanite as the special upcharge colors. They did the Frozen Pure Grey on the X1 M35i...

I think they know I'd love a San Marino Blue (or LBB) and San Remo green too much, but those may be reserved for the X3M in a year. And those aren't even loud colors like IoMG or SPY.
