I remember the first time I had to had to cross the roundabout, it was about 3pm, raining and absolute chaos. I actually go out of my way to avoid it, and i live about 2 hours away!

Try to navigate the three-dimensional street nightmare that surrounds Miami International Airport as an out-of-towner with no Sunpass toll transponder some day. Even Google Maps gives up because it thinks that roads traveling over each other somehow connect.....

I'm no savage, not the entire town, just that insane roundabout contraption...and I'd give forewarning so the road users will know to steer clear before the B52s started rolling in lmao.

Greenham Common is only about 30 miles away, during the cold war and years proceeding, no doubt a number of B52's flew over Swindon. Imagine the level of self control!

Btw to the original question, i bet this happens (with varying levels of insanity) very frequently. All you need is a speeding driver who’s not aware that the roundabout is there…

I dunno how it evolved into that...hard to imagine it being a blank slate and somebody thought having 7 or whatever it is roundabouts is the best/most effective way. That seems like something a 3 yr old who just discovered circles designed.

Nothing wrong with getting a little sideways.
