As to 'M did well before', they obviously didn't well enough in the past 20+ years to build supercars or at least an R8/SLS competitor in recent years. Best regards, south

Scott, having owned many (and I mean many!) BMWs and M cars, I applaud what BMW M is doing. There are those of us out there who buy X3 because we can't have X3M or X1 because we can't have X1M. There are in fact lots of us out there! And as a previous owner of a X5M, can I just say that those who criticise the car clearly has never driven one. So my question to you is, what is the timing of the X3M and X1M?

Putting truck engines into the flagship M cars = penny wise and pound foolish.

The only question that matters at this point is whether there be any CSL like final edition of the E92 M3 available in the US. And by edition I don't mean an appearance package...
Would you be willing to give us a simple yay or nay on this one question SCOTT26? I've reached the point of completely writing off BMW for all near future purchases, and need some immediate assurance there is something relevant to my interesting coming in the forum of a more hardcore E92 M3 or anything using the S65 engine. Otherwise, I'm sad to say the focus for my next purchase has become absolute. It will be a competitor's product. |

Sign me up right away for a X1M with the 3L inline 340 HP !!
Please keep the 4-cylinder for the next model (the M2 or X1M Mk2). I want to enjoy 6 cylinders while we still can, before regulations get too tight. |
