At our place in the Finger Lakes yesterday. The morning air temperature was ~38F, but the water is still a very comfortable 77F. Caused an eerie steam to rise off. Kind of like the hot springs in Yellowstone.

Ed,
I do also like the trains and my job at the Oakland port gets me my fix. My view from our lunch station. The banging in the back is one of 1800 50' piles being driven for a 300k sq/ft refrigerator. https://kevingoto.smugmug.com/Spirit...X7Tm/i-WcHqzML Only thing unusual I've seen yet is a BC Rail engine, it must have gotten lost.

Cool shot, Ed. Looks like a drag race. I lost count of the number of railheads we did in Germany. Loading armored vehicles on trains was always interesting.

I spent a lot of time at Grafenwoehr in my time in Germany, and saw a lot of that as well, although just as a spectator, but also got to go to sleep with the sound of M-1 and Bradley fire rattling the hotel we stayed at.

Was up in Healdsburg yesterday doing some wine club pickups. It's always a nice smell when the crushing is going on. New Zin in the making

Hope you and your home are safe.
A couple of years ago, we lost 500-homes in one Colorado fire. 1,000 to 1,500 homes is HUGE. Those winds really pushed those fires fast.

My home is fine. I may have lost some wine in storage in Santa Rosa, but that is nothing to complain about. We could use some of that snow!
