The iPhone 12 Pro Max in the house. This was shot with the wide angle lens, colors untouched, just resized for the forums.

It was clear out last night so I took the tripod out to my driveway and shot this before dinner. Sony A7R4 with adapted Canon 500mm+1.4 TC

Thanks! I'm trying to get more sharpness. I'm suspecting that I suffer from a slight bit of motion blur since I'm not using a shutter remote. The slight touch of the camera is probably just enough to cause the tripod head to have to re-settle, even w/ a 10s timer in effect. Or at least that's what I'm latching on to...

With the moon a lot depends on the atmosphere conditions of where you are at the time too. I don't even have a remote for these cameras. There is probably an app or something for remote operation, but I am too lazy to figure that out for a moon shot. My main subjects are wildlife and that is all hand held. |

Taken just 20 minutes after Sunset at Lossiemouth West Beach, close to Covesea Lighthouse. The colours were so strong and lasted such a long time. The colour also stretched all the way round from due South through West and North-West to due North. The most amazing Sunset I have seen for a long time.

I try to never go slower than 1/1000 and the higher the better, ideally 1/2500. It depends on light available of course and how high I am willing to let the ISO climb. I will go a lot higher on my A9 than on my A7r4 where noise shows up earlier.
