You know, in the past we used to droll when we’d see new BMWs on the cover of car&driver (remember E46?). Now we have to see them “in person” to start “liking” them. I have my ix now for more than 6 months and I can’t get over with it’s front mother f****er clown look.
The problem is, it drives so good which at some point you don’t care how dumb it looks!!
I’m pretty sure this new x3 will be an excellent drive, with a silly look.

Nobody suggested this, and I beg to differ that an e36 is the same car as an e90, let alone an f30. The newer designs are more provocative relative to the prior generation, I'll give you that.
