Haha, I'm secure enough (not saying you aren't) that I don't really care if my car is considered a girls car. I've only seen one in person, not too bad, and you get a lot of stuff for the price. It is a much better value, surprisingly, than a RDX, Q5, and X5.

I don't know what it is about the Lincoln, but I am really digging the refresh, it just looks very classy to me, and you know you'll be able to get one for a great price.

...but it's a Ford. When I buy a car, I like for it to be sitting in my garage longer than in the shop. I have had and know countless people who have had terrible experiences with Ford/Lincoln/Mercury when the car was less than 2 years old and under 20K miles.

That doesn't bother me at all. I'm not a badge snob. Ford cars have done extremely well lately in reliability surveys and the MKZ/Milan/Fusion are near the top of their class in reliability.

I'm not either. I only said that "it's a Ford" because of the points I listed afterward. And as for the reliability surveys and stuff, they are not worth the paper they are printed onto.

I'm ok with being in a BMW for a couple more years until maybe a V8 Vantage, used Gallardo, or GTR.

I'm going to be driving my 335 for a while, so I'm not thinking about what comes next for me just yet; however, at some point in the next two or three years, I'll be selling my truck and my wife's Mini Cooper will need to be replaced. The replacement vehicle will have to serve both as her daily driver and be able to serve as the family snow-mobile since we're both avid snowboarders. Given that, here's what I'm thinking will grace my garage / driveway in a few years:

- Audi A4 Avant (my first choice)
- BMW 328i xdrive Sport Wagon (a close second)
- Toyota Venza (You can kill me now with this one, but she likes it. And if prices for Audi and BMW continue to go crazy, I'm going Japanese dammit)
- Passat CC and a used Acura MDX (I know, random, but we both really like the way the CC looks and if I buy one for her, we'll need something for the snow still).

I wasn't insinuating you were, so I want to apologize if you took it that way.

I don't really trust peoples experiences or the surveys very much anyways.

My previous car was a Volvo S40 that was in the shop almost 40 times in 3 years. 4 other people on my block have S40's and never had the issues I had.

BMW's aren't exactly known for their reliability (hence the "never own a BMW out of warranty" comments) but I took a gamble on getting one. I don't have a problem taking a leap of faith in a car company that I haven't tried, but if the car gives me problems, I won't be back again.

FWIW, I've taken quite a shine to the Lincoln MKS too. Maybe it's because they play Daft Punk on one of their commercials.

No problem, it's all good on Bimmerpost I just always get bad memories when it comes to me driving Fords of me being on the side of the road when I am supposed to be at work. I guess I am pretty biased when it comes to this, but now that I look at it the MKS really doesn't look that bad. It seems to have grown on me like the Genesis. Good luck however way you decide to go

My car plan has always been switching from 335i to a next gen 3 series or / cayman s (leaning more towards an used cayman s than next-gen 3) to save a bit cash and then go for an used Aston Vantage or Ferrari F430 or whatever the have next... used of course. I Think it is very doable and only of course possible if I can hold off having kids for another 8-10 years hehe.
