Have a set goal for the return you want on each individual stock, and stick to it.

Anyone here in MNTB or ZUO?

Stocktwits is crazy tonight about xspa. This whole thing is going to be interesting for sure. Some of the speculation is crazy! Rough day overall, I hope for a Friday rebound instead of a Friday sell off.

So...I'm in early as always and figured I would give a slight rundown of what I do so others on here that don't look into it too much get an idea.

I have a scanner. Look on the internet...you find find subscriptions everywhere. Pick one that has in interface you like and have at it.

I set mine to alert Volume and RSI. Without volume, you could have a stock worth $1k...but if no one is buying or selling... you have a stock that you are basically stuck "sitting" on.

If I get a volume or RSI alert, I go to a couple of pages linked below for more information.

I look at RSI. RSI is considered overbought when above 70 and oversold when below 30. It's basically how you gauge the primary direction of the trend of a stock you are looking at.

I look at MA (moving Average) across a few points...10 days, 50 days, etc. This indicates support and resistance. As a general guideline, if the share price is above a moving average, the trend is up. If the share price is below a moving average, the trend is down.

If the short term MA crosses above the long term MA...it's basically saying the trend is moving up and it's a buy. If it moves below...then as you would guess it's a sell or at least a hold.

Then I look at the Float This is the amount of outstanding shares available. The lower the float (15M or less) the better because if a catalyst happens and people want it... demand outstrips this limited supply and the price can shoot up quickly.

This is why we say sell on the rise because in a low float stock..it can drop just as quickly. Low float stocks move very fast either way.

Then after that it's up to you. I use the RSI combined with the MA to help make my choice.

That is why I like "Swing or Momentum Trading". You have more time (few days to a few weeks) to research before you make a decision. With Day Trading......it moves so fast that you can get burnt very easily.

https://finviz.com/
https://www.marketwatch.com/

Also I will link this again. Public Sentiment about any stock can change everything I mentioned above and make the market do strange things. With this link...you can kind of gauge that by inputting the ticker. It will show any conversation about that stock going on across the web.

Good luck to all and remember this is my way of looking at things. It is not advice on what you should or shouldn't do. I want us all to win...but remember that no one is perfect. If so..we would already be rich!

Just one PR would send this into a frenzy. Even after the split....I am holding quite a bit of shares and at a crazy low average!

I'm out....but it's up .22 right now. I think oil will be making another run shortly. They usually are good for a couple of lays a month. What price you buy in at?

Also oil is one of those you get in and out of pretty quickly!

Just looked at the Level 2 and some other stuff....it's way oversold. So I expect consolidation for a bit and should squeeze up to around $2 within a week or two.

Again...just my opinion!

See above post. I think you are good. Just a little longer!

I can see almost $2 in a week or two....but I would be selling at $1.80. But I like to play it conservatively. Especially concerning oil plays!

No problem. I try to find stuff to get into early so that it gives us time to watch it unfold. Like TNXP. I have posted numerous articles. Here is another headline out today.

Now all of these don't make PR's....but when they do release something officially...that's when you see things take off!

Plus just looking at the level 2 of this stock...someone has an order of over 140K shares at .66 trying to buy.

It's things like that.....that tells me someone maybe knows something and wants in!

What do you mean by "looking at the level 2 of this stock"? How do you see that info? Also why is someone trying to buy so many shares at .66 when its trading for less than that right now?
