I had back today. Sitting around 3400 calories and still slowly leaning up as I am now around 205.5lbs.
Some days I hit a little less in calories and some days a little more...kind of just letting my body dictate what it needs.

I blew UP my shoulders last night. Reps over weight, but still a bit higher than normal on some sets. Made it to 2:30 in the unheated pool x2 to cool down and reduce joint swelling
Woke up about 2:30, face-down, but with my arms out somewhat to my side, almost in a wide plank position. Seems I needed to stretch out the front of the shoulders. . . oh, and pee. |

My last two weeks were recovery weeks, so this week was the official start to increasing the lbs based on my new 1RM's I set right before Christmas. Trying to keep body-weight down and another year older, so I don't expect to see any crazy weights this year. But it doesn't mean that I'm not going to try!

Guys! What a PITA to buy a fitted suit. Went to Dillard's and the pants fit fine but the jacket...wow! The sleeves felt super tight arou d my arms and just around my shoulders I feel like I'm going to RIP the jacket if I bring my shoulders and arms forward. And the chest area was super tight. The specialist was telling me I can't really wear a slim fitted suit since my body is of muscular type says the guy lol! Anyone in the same boat when it comes to buying clothes?

Lol.....when I got fitted for my daughter's wedding, the woman said I didn't know we were fitting Captain America. I immediately looked down to see if I was actually wearing my Marvel T-Shirt as I thought she was referring to that. I laughed it off and said I thought she was referring to a shirt I THOUGHT I was wearing.....but she said no.....I was talking about these and grabbed my arms. I will have to see if I can dig up a picture someone took of us coming out for the reception. I looked pretty funny.

That dress seems to fit your curves pretty well
When I pick a jacket that fits, the associated pants are usually 38-40 So unfortunately I normally buy separates and hope I'm not completely color-blind. The shop I go to (very run of the mill) always tells me to quit with the trying to flex my arms, the jacket isn't supposed to fit like that. How do I hug the Betties then???? |

Lol.....I will tell my wife you approve! I have the same issue. Pants that fit my legs are typically a 36"-38" waist, but my waist measurement is actually 30"-31". Then any kind of jacket that fits across my shoulders and arms off the rack .....I could button up and slide a basketball in the front. This suit I rented was about the best I've had from a rental. And I never spent a lot of money on a tailored suit as my weight always dramatically changed from winter to summer.

Not quite that dramatic, but over the weekend I found some "loose" carhart jeans. The typical 34 fit the waist OK, and there was some room in the legs. I tried on the 36 and Oh, heavenly hosts! I can sit down and not scratch my thighs. I carry my wallet/knife and phone in opposing front pockets, and wasn't affeared I was going to cut myself!

I share the same issue. Gotta buy 34 waist pants to fit my legs, then just let my belt to the dirty work haha. Can fit into a 31 or 32 waist, but if I were to squat I'd prolly tear right through those pants.
As for the suit jacket it just depends, sometimes I can find things to fit, but usually very tight around my arms, back and shoulders. Struggle is real. Been dropping weight the last week or so, think I'm down 6-7lbs or so. Really not doing it the way I'd like. I'd rather a slow progression downwards in weight, but I'll be honest I'm so sick and tired of eating. Get my meals in and that is about it. |

Versa-grips FTMFW!!!!
Last night doing cable pulls, narrow and wide. Normally for my 6 sets of 12, I'm using 90, maybe 100lbs. With the grips on, I was able to easily do 120s, and didn't once have to shake my forearms out between sets. When I was doing "heavy" I was only pulling 130 or 140 6@ I felt good enough to add an extra 3 sets of standing bent pulls at the end of everything else. Would have gone on, could have gone on, but it was already 9 and I knew I needed some cold water soaking. I may now NEED to do grip exercises. For Wednesday. I may be seeing a name change to "Uncle Cobra" |

Did some cardio last night and hit chest/arms/back . Also going to start incorporating dead hangs once or twice a week as I have read they can help out with spine alignment/decompression etc. Stayed under calories each day since I have started this journey and feeling real good physically and mentally!

So sitting at 205 this morning. My abs (and pretty much everything else!) are blurred over from the previous bulk, but waist is coming down nicely. If I can keep the upper body thickness and keep shrinking my waist...I should have a pretty good "side profile" look in a couple of months. Delts and Traps have always been a strong point and my Delts tend to overpower my arms if I am not careful.
You guys have seen me when I'm lean, figured I would show one pic of when I am "heavy"!

Years ago, maybe 4-5, I asked this real impressive guy for a spot, I could tell he has been at this for decades. He was a monster, and I respected his attitude in the gym. Just kept his head down and fucking worked every single day. And I know this might seem pretty dumb to most. I remember after my set, he said "if you can't handle the weight, don't lift it". Every lift he did was raw, completely unsupported and he was moving some ridiculous weight. In the past I used straps, belts, all that shit. I know he was probably being an asshole at the time, but those words alone have stuck with me for years. Basically revolutionized the way I train. I thought to myself "well, maybe he's right, who am I trying to impress? Everything I do should be centered around my goal, not based on what is perceived by those onlooking." Stopped using all of my training gear and haven't used any of it since. Again probably stupid to most, but it has lingered with me for awhile now. And before anyone asks, yes I definitely see the benefit in using the equipment, I just refrain. |

^ Lat work is the only thing I use anything but what God gave me. The rest is more about making sure I have proper form, bending my knees all the time to protect my low back. I actually learned a lot more about my body and form those years I spent doing yoga. Even how to "properly" tie my shoes.
