Single Key multiple BMWs with Comfort Access?
Is there anyone who has done or knows if it can be done to program my keys so that they work for either my X5 or M4? Both have comfort access. It sure would be nice just to have one key and it work for either car.

The proximity of my x5 key is that i need to be standing right next to the x5 for it to recognize the key.

I think you may be able to. Obviously, the cut key inside the fob won't work for one or the other, but I think that BMW can program the key to each car and it might work.
I remember going through the service order when I had a new key ordered and it said something about programming new key and removing old second key from memory. So if they can add a key, I'm sure they can add it to more than one car, but again, I'm talking speculation only.
