No I'm in Washington state but have been to ls for for tudor and feel I know the track fairly well despite never driving it. Was just discussing this car with another track buddy yesterday and it's both our top pick right now.

Nice. Looking forward to hearing about it. I've taken 4 parade laps on LS and will take another 2 next year in the M6... There were opportunities to get it on, but only on the straights. Not fun at all. The corkscrew was interesting because all you see is sky before committing to the turn. Some of the guys who raced were talking about the line and aiming for some tree, but I'd imagine it'd be pretty hairy at speed.

I'm looking to replace the C5 with a GT4, which will probably happen next year. Porsche is increasing the build numbers.

If you really drive it, it's expensive on the consumables. I chatted with a guy running an ACR on slicks, the whole enchilada, and he told me his are $3500 weekends at the track.

No thanks. I'd rather race in a spec series for this type of money.

Incredible car that doesn't get the respect it deserves... it runs on the tried and true 8.4L V10 NA Platform and is the American Nurgburging record holder as well holds about 10 US track records right now... yet the Z06 which can't finish a lap still somehow gets all the glory... I love this car!

Haven't had any direct experience with the Viper, but just got a ride with an instructor in a Z06. I'll tell you what the Z has over the Viper IMO: it looks great, it sounds great, you can drive it on the street because it isn't harsh at all, and it has all the comforts of the regular Vette.

I was impressed, and despite all the stories with the Z overheating at the track, Anecdotically this guy had had a total of 15 track days in 2015 with his car, without any issues. It was a manual gearbox if it makes any difference.


To me the ACR seems much more like a track only toy. I could be wrong.
