2017 Audi A5/S5
https://www.audi-mediacenter.com/en/...-s5-coupe-5832
Looks soft and underwhelming. They may have taken a step back in design. I wish Audi had a coupe I was interested in outside of the R8. I'm sure it will look better in person. |

I used to dream of owning a RS4 wagon, or CTS-V wagon.......now the kids are older and I don't need a wagon. But not an Audi fan anymore, though the S5 looks like a nice ride, but not as good looking as past models........This interior looks like its slotted between BMW functionality and Mercedes opulence....

That interior does look really nice.
I really want to like Audi again but they'll need to get a little more aggressive/masculine on their A or at least S models, not just RS. |

Overall the interior is very nice. But I find a couple of the design characteristics a tad funky. I do not like the MB style screen, the vent as a trim price a cross the dash is too much and I can't understand the desire to put the infotainment controls beyond the gear selector.
Exterior is nice but it looks a bit un inspired. I would never fault anyone for buying one heck id even suggest it to others to take a look at. But it's not for me. IMO, no brand does a better job externally on small coupes (2,4 series) than BMW. Even though I wouldn't buy it it is still an awesome car

Not a fan of the evolution in Audi's front end across the board. But I don't know what it is about the front of the A5 that reminds me a bit of the of the last gen Chrysler Sebring and the first gen Chysler 200. It must have something to do with those hood creases. Not a good association. Not a fan that the headlights look narrower side to side (less wrap around?). And, I don't like the new more angular grille. The profile is not as sleek either, the C-pillar is way too thick looking.

That silver piece below the grill makes me want to kick a football through it for 3 points and what's up with the silver coated mirror caps???

Well as I have been saying for as long as Audi has been doing this... It's exactly the same damn design except this time around they've managed to completely ruin it's best feature; the front Also reminded me of a cross of the chrysler and new Ford front ends...
The side and back are just the same car I mean come on this is unbelievable! Audi always touches up their pictures to oblivion which usually make them look good in comparisons because BMW usually uses more life like pictures but I can't see this one doing that The interior does look nice on picture and even though I'm a tech fan from the first day I can't like the virtual cockpit... And that retrovent? Just give me my "bland" F3x cockpit with HUD any day And yes I know I'm biased lol but I always liked the competition it brought... It's not bringing that anymore in the looks department the 4 is waaayyy nicer! I have to say kudos though I really expected them to connect the headlights to the grille as almost every other brand has been copying BMW with the F3x Could've made em a bit wider though.. |

Outside looks too bland now.
I HATE the whole navigation system theme where it looks like someone glued an iPad to the dash. WTF is that all about - integrate it into the damn car. |

These "Tablets sticking out of the Dash" are tacky as fuk no matter what car it's on. I still can't believe makers are doing this. AT least Benz got it right in their Flagship S Class.

The front actually looks a lot like the Tesla Model S. I agree with most here that it's really boring.
