First of all, it's a forum, not a website.
Secondly, this is the off-topic section of the forum.

What about 9/11, Iran, diets, ... all topics in this section of the forum. What do these have to do with e90, BMW, cars, ...

I get the feeling nobody wants to answer (ashamed?)

I'll answer you.

We Americans are very religiuos people. And we are very religion driven. In average.

Having traveled a lot - especially to Europe and Middle East - I can say we are more similar to religious driven countries in Middle East, and nothing like Europe.

Europeans are much more rational, much more educated.

Europe feels so cool, so liberal, so free. Much more than US.

In my experience US are just too conservative - expect the North Eastern & all Western coast + D.C.

We also have a president who believes invasion in Iraq is a God's will. That's the same diction some radical Islamists are using for terrorist attacks excuse: that being Allah's will.

I will be much more happy when people will start to use their own brain, and stop using the religion to dictate them what to think and what to do.

Saying that - I'm religiuos (a Chatolic), but I'm a moderate believer, not a radicalist: not obeying all the rules Church dictates. Some of the rules are unfortunately born from hate, not love - and love is the essence of all the religions.

So, love each other, be tolerant, be nice & friendly - and think with your own head. It's liberating.

Although I'm not religious in any way, I respect yours.
As for the rest of your post, I agree with you 1000 percent.

(Coming from a very big and stable and rather 'wealthy' Dutch Roman Catholic family I only believe in myself, sorry)

If we leave religion alone(fine with me) then leave politics alone too, please.

Because of religions we have those bloody wars in the first place(for centuries)

Oh my, you are hilarious.
You wanna know how many of your fellow-countrymen come here to profit from our social benefits? Just stay where you are and leave us alone!

Just out of curiosity, are you a muslim?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand people who's only concern in life is cold-hard cash...
Having said that, it's your life, do what you want with it.
Just don't try to enforce it on everyone else.

Religon is one way some people get through their lives. Let them be. Some people think God created everything, some people think a big bang created everything. Whatever it is, each person will have their own opinion. Religon is a way to guide somebody through life. I don't think religon should be forced upon everybody.
When I hear that people are starting wars or killing people in the mane of a certain religon, I think its retarded. Isn't religon about peace. Whether it be Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, etc. When you start wars over religon, you are just using it as an excuse. Don't all religous beliefs start with that one supreme being? God, Allah, Mohammad, Buddah.. It's all the same
