Such a gorgeous car. There's a silver one in my neck of the woods (believe me, that's a RARE sighting here in Missouri lol) and it's just jaw dropping to look at.

Sad

I've seen a red one twice around my house. They don't really "stick out" compared to most exotic cars on the road, but for those who know what it is - EPIC!

I had to tell my wife how much it was and what it was in terms of the Porsche hierarchy. She couldn't believe it. There's also a lime green GT3RS that I've seen at least a dozen times. Glad he's out enjoying the car!

depending on the price it sells for, could be worth the investment to rebuild it... or it could make more sense to part the entire thing out and stuff the drive train into a spaceframe and have an open track toy. GT2RS BAC Mono anyone?

Well being as how it totalled, the cost to repair was around 70% of the value....so those looking at this as a repair opportunity, get your wallets out.

70% as per the body shop giving the insurance company a quote lol.

The owner of the car could have been friends with the guy at the shop and said to total it out because he didn't want a GT2 with an accident and take the depreciation loss. Easily could tack a few extra things on there that are realistically OK but you can just say need to be replaced.

Someone in the body shop business with the ability to repair/paint the vehicle themselves while also getting parts at wholesale could probably make it worth it for themselves. Not saying it would be cheap to repair by any means but I think there's a significant amount of wiggle room in that "totaled" evaluation.

Am I imagining things, or is there a flat six back there, right around where that whole side of the suspension was ripped off? Aren't there normally a turbo and an inter cooler hanging off the outside too? I'd hate to think how much a GT2 RS motor costs, but I'd guess you'd find out if you bought this.

i write estimates for a living, i understand the ins and outs. But with that hit and the engine being in the back, you would have to REALLY want this car, and in the end if yer like most enthusiast owners, you will spend more than the car is worth.

Now with that being said, if you were to rebuild this strictly for racing, and not care about the aesthetics or details, it mite be worth it.

My “purchase to partout” idea sounding more reasonable now haha. Take what you want for a project track toy, sell the rest
