Movie sequels as good as or even better than the first one

I think most people will agree that sequels are usually trash compared to the originals, seems like it would be a short and challenging list to think of. Here's mine:

Terminator 2- First one was definitely good, but I love the second one and some of those special effects are still pretty cool even now.

Kill Bill 2- Loved the story on the second one, volume one stuck out more as a cartoonish bloodbath.

The Dark Knight- My favorite Batman movie of all time. I like Batman Begins but I don't revere it quite as much as it seems a lot of others do.

Snatch- Open to interpretation if you consider it a sequel to Lock Stock or not.

Bond, James Bond.

Granted some are better than others but having watched them all several times I'm here to say there are some great sequels in there.

The Expendables I, II, III.
I really hope there's a IV. But I'm not sure who they could add to the cast next. They kinda hit a peak with 3 I'd think.

Agree with Aliens and T2. Both excellent movies.

More recently, A Quiet Place 2.

I'd agree with that (the movie part not the too old part).

2010 - The Odyssey continues.

Although, 2001 is just cinematically and sci-fi geekishly AMAZING

I think Iron Man 2 is better than the original. When Stark figures out his father's legacy that was the "it" moment for me. The original took too long to pick up in my opinion.

Also, gonna get flamed but in my opinion Batman Begins is the better movie. I'll concede that the script of Dark Knight was better and more memorable though. More thought provoking movie, but Begins absolutely blew my mind when I saw it the first time. I still remember which theatre and which seat I saw it in to this day. Can't say the same about The Dark Knight.
