Anyone recently leave their corporate job?

What are you doing now? Trying to get some ideas. I'm one of those people who doesn't have a 'career passion' or whatever you want to call it.

Yep. Was in software consulting for 6 years and got tired of the desk job, late night crunch, and basically every other Friday/sometimes weekend being taken up by production deployments and post-op support. Money was good but that was about the only thing that was good.

Now I'm in the wholesale food industry and make more money, less stressful work, I don't take my work home, and I get to actually see my family during the week due to the early start/early finish schedule.

I could never go back.

If money was no issue, what would you do?

For me it would be a photographer of high end resorts and restaurants. However, even if I won’t the lottery I would keep working my Autobody job. I love it, love my team and love my employer. I might take a month off or every Monday off but I would keep working

I did after 25 years and retired. I now volunteer and help battered women restart their lives. It’s costly and aggravating work but it’s time to give back.
