So I was trying to go home last night

And...my WRX won't start. Great. It cranks but doesn't start. I get out and clean the battery terminals (that worked a couple of days ago) and it still just cranks but does not start...I call AAA and wait about three hours for the tow truck...since my car is in a low clearance garage the nearest short truck is 60 miles away.... the dealer I take it to only 14 miles away.....but since that would take it through D.C. the route becomes 35 miles....the tow did cost 45$ so that part was cheap...find out today the the primary and secondary fules pumps are toast.....add in the fuel filter since it's six years old....cost of diagnostics AND being told that the timing belt replacement I had done three months ago (not the same place car is now) was botched and the timing belt is being gouged due to an incorrectly installed guard............

Ouch! Sounds like an expensive day for you. Did you install the timing belt yourself?

Will it hang in there another 5 months? Also for your battery terminal issues - I use this stuff, NO-OX-ID "A-Special" dielectric grease (we used it on the batteries in the telco power plants - absolutely GREAT stuff).

Great spirit give us the where with all to change the things that need changed

the intelligence to know the things we can't change

and the strength not to strangle the carp out of the nearest unfortunate dummy who gets in your path when you are REALLY having a bad day...

But I am still first on the list for the 128i at my dealer.......
