Why you really want an M3...

Edmunds just posted their full review of the M3 on the website. Not much we haven't already heard (and their acceleration numbers were slow compared to most others) except for their handling numbers. Here's a few: Slalom (mph): 73.3; Skid Pad Lateral acceleration (g): 0.95

Also 60 - 0 (ft): 100

But the most interesting bit:

One notable exception is the activation of the electronic differntial as it can kick in abruptly if you're not used to controlling an oversteer situation.

Braking Comments: Shortest 60-0-mph distance we've ever measured. Power is immediate and the overall feel is very intuitive. You don't have to push the pedal very far before you get full power. This makes it good for aggressive braking, but more subtle threshold braking can be difficult.

Ya... I want one...

I was actually surprised to see 73.3 in the test sheet because in the article, they claim 75 mph. For comparative purposes, the 911 GT3 got 75.3 mph through the slalom with its semi-slick tires and a Lotus Exige on similar semi-slick tires got 73.4 mph through the slalom.

You missed the thread on here where everyone was hating on the M3 in favor of the 135i. So funny.
