Alpine White 2025 X3 M50 (G45)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Found few G45 X3 M50 images of Alpine White. I'm on the waiting list to order the vehicle as soon as the allocation opens.

Not a huge fan of overall style, especially the interior, but I'll hold my final decision until I see and drive the car in person.

I'm driving 2023 330e which I really like, but I need a bigger car for my skiing, camping and occasional people/stuff hauling. I considered GX550 but I'm hearing average ~15MPG on a 21 gal fuel tank size, which I think is ridiculous.

Current X5 has cargo space of 33.9 cu-ft and 72.3 cu-ft with rear seat folded. New X3 has 31.5 cu-ft and 67.1 cu-ft . If these numbers are true, new X3 has nearly equal cargo space of a much bigger and expensive X5, which I think is pretty cool.

Unfortunately, most modern car design these days are either mediocre or quite polarizing. I can't name a single car design in recent years that truly wowed me. If the design is "tolerable", it's a good design.

At least this G45 X3 styling is not that bad, IMO. Its overall front design is simple and at least the grill size/shape is not hugely offending. Rear design looks fine, and the quad-exhaust helps a lot.

My biggest disappointment is the interior design, which I think is overly simplified and looks no better than ~$40k X1. I like the new M-sport steering wheel with 12-o'clock red, tri-color stitching and flat bottom.

I wouldn't mind like it from afar, but if I had to get inside — fuck it.

Put a deposit for this a couple of months ago to replace the current X3 M40i we have. After seeing the official photos, we decided to go up to the X5 instead.

Choose a colour that doesn’t draw attention to that horrendous front black trim.

If there option that hides the interior like on the test mules ?

It’s what the child of X1 U11 and X2 U10 would look like.

Better looking than the X2, but not quite as nice or cohesive in design as the X1

When are black wheels not going to be a thing any more? Personally I'm over that combo.

Nice spec and look forward to hearing the driving review.

You now that saying "Only something a mother could love"?

Well that doesn't apply here.

The new X3 looks so much better in the 30 second clip over at BMW's YouTube channel.

Maybe the still photos don't lend it justice lol.

Can you offroad in this new X3, or is it too low to the ground? I assume it doesn’t have air to raise the suspension.

One of the things I loved about our X3 (2014 MY) was the rugged nature of it. We would take gravel roads occasionally to hikes etc.

Except that the BMW has lost its identity.
New M3s have snake eyes, new 3 series something else, new M2 has a totally different design of the lights, now this, that has nothing to do with the rest of the families or BMW identity.
Why couldn't they just keep and update the "angel eyes"...similar to the pre-LCI G80 Laser lights design, or current X5 design?

Also, the M2 grille is small, nice, traditional, X3 is a giant like 7er or those new SUVs (lost track of naming) and then you have the iX and M3/M4 and 4er stuff that is like nothing else in the family... WHY?

It’s a videographers trick to quickly change shots, obscure, or use distance shots to avoid focusing on the cars detail. kind of glimpses without being able to digest properly. How much time is actually on the cars details versus showing people in the field, or cafe, or playing in the sea…. They are having such fun….

It looks even better in the pitch black video with no lights on.

You can off-road anything if you're brave enough! 😂

But, I don't see why not. It just depends on your tolerance for risk in an expensive vehicle. They're very capable vehicles. To get to the spot in the photo, my RF wheel was in the air for a bit (nothing severe, just roadside drainage), and the vehicle had no problem figuring out what to do, presuming I pointed it in the right direction.

Other than the quad exhaust, it doesn't look sporty.

I'm sure I'll get one as a service loaner, and I'll take a closer look then. Hopefully they will give me a m50. haha
