Talking Hurry the hell up Honda

My favorite two automakers happen to be Honda and BMW. I love them for two totally different reasons. Rarely, those reasons intertwine. Anyhow, I'm awaiting Honda to build my next daily driver. I happen to drive a lot and need something I can enjoy and rack up the mileage on. I normally sell my cars around 70k. I've put 93,000miles on MY04. No issues even dragging her screaming to 8200rpms daily. Trust me when I say this car is about 85% production ready. Hurry Honda!

Honda CR-Z hybrid

Curb Weight-2500lb est.

118hp 268lb tq est.

$22,000 est

45-50mpg on REGULAR fuel

Battery good for at least 150,000miles.

On sale in Europe the end of 2009. U.S. sales commence in early 2010. No updates yet if anything has changed.

It is going to compete head to head with the MINI IMHO as the sportiest. I love the MINI Cooper too.

Hell yes it seems like an interesting car I agree! I hope they can bring the sexiness from the concept to the real deal. IMO I think the concept is far from 80% but I really hope that you can prove me wrong at the end of the year m8!

Thanx for the good photos BTW havent seen these good ones ever!

I hadnt seen these good ones either man! The car is ''ironically'' being engineered in Germany. I'll find a picture timeline of how Honda's are looking amazingly close to their concepts in a sec.

Here ya go Hula: Concept vs Production.

Its the same closeness with the current Civic and Acura TL. Its a lovely tradition they have.

Your fears are valid man. But you and I both know they wouldnt dare risk their ''reliability" status by shoving something testy down the publics throat. It is going to be incredibly mass produced. The more common this tech becomes the cheaper it will be to fix.

I think the front needs to be a little more conservative.

Lol, dude you drive an S2000, get the fuck over yourself, seriously.

I'm a college student, sorry I'm not spoiled as hell and in a 335i coupe like some folks on here.

And the '08 Jetta is probably one of the best new cars you can get for ~$20k.

Hybrids are for tools.

My pics aren't any good. Not worth it, heh. I'll get some pics when it gets a wash and get some more practice in with my dSLR.

*EDIT* Oh you lucky dog, I would've killed for a black interior. They didn't have any more though. There were no more black/black manual SE models left in the country at the time .

Let me get this striaght. You say "Stop Caring/Reading" after you read Hybrid and you tell me to get fuck over myself. How about taking your own advice?

Yes, I drive an s2000. I paid for it myself. I'm 23 years old and finishing up college myself. Whats your point? Where did I say it was the greatest car. If I wanted a 135i/335i, I would have recieved it as a graduation present. Instead I'm rocking a 2007 Mortgage.

I brought up your Jetta b/c I am VERY familiar with it. I had a Black 2002 GLS for years before it got totalled in an accident. I brought it up b/c I dont see it being any better than this potential CR-Z. NONE. Faster? No. Better looking? No. More reliable? No.

I post the CR-Z Hybrid because I think it can possibly break the mold. Hybrids have a bad name. The celebs/treehuggers/fanatics contribute highly to this. You are proof: "Only tools drive Hybrids".
I can say only girls or gay guys drive Jettas. I'm sure you and 135iTT heard that before too. A jetta is seen as a girls car. Deny it. Please deny it?

Yes I told you to get the fuck over yourself. You drive an S2000 and acted like driving a Jetta is bad at my age/position. No point in taking my own advice, doesn't apply here.

Well the posted stats seem too good to be true, and well I'm sure you know the saying...

Yes, only tools drive hybrids. There are two reasons as to why these tools buy hybrids:
#1 They think they are saving money on gas.
#2 They think they are being 'green' / saving the planet.

Both of which are false.

And I've only heard that girls/gay guys drive the body style of the Jetta you had. The new ones are much much better looking and don't really have a certain sex associated with it.
