getting a tattoo
Just curious, how do one go about getting a tattoo? Do you guys have something in mind, or just have the artist design something to your liking? I've been thinking about getting one in the summer but not sure yet, I heard that if you don't really know what you want, then its best if you don't get one at all.. I wanna hear yours stories on how you ended up with what you have, and be sure to post pics!

Nothing against people with tats...However, I was extremely close to getting one in late high school and will be forever thankful that I never went through with it. If you do get something, make sure it isn't something that you will regret when you are 45 with kids (unless you already are).

Make sure it's on a area of the body where most people don't get to see - just in case

In all honesty, you should think about the design for a long time to ensure it's something you want the rest of your life. The second most important is selecting the best artist you can afford- THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN HAVING A GREAT DESIGN AND A P.O.S OUTCOME.
i.e. Plus, do you know if you want color or black? Colors will always fade in time. As a side note: it's not always permanent; depending on the color and placement of the body you can always do laser tattoo removal. From experience this is three to four times the excruciating pain of getting the original tattoo, not to mention an expensive AND very lengthy process. |

Sweet. I'm still thinking of my ribcage design - 8 months I've been thinking about it (and I already have a tattoo). I just figure it needs to be significant to me.

Whatever you do don't over think the design. Think of something you really dig in life and take that idea to an artist and have them draw something up!
