yeah, I'm kind of sad of seing it go since true big-budget space opera sci-fi series are scarce; the setting and the space battles were awesome
however, IMO this series peaked during season 2, season 3 was awful and season 4, though much better than seasons 3, had some elements I could never buy into (such as the admiral become friends with the dissident Cylons) also, call me a Cylon but I kind of expected the ending, so that was a bummer too anyway, get ready, the Centurions have evolved and are coming for us

I liked BSG but I agree with Civ that it peaked early. Seasons 1 and 2 were just awesome! I liked some of season 3, like when they came back for those left on Cobal. The first half of season 4 was really interesting as they revealed the final 5. I was disappointed with the last few episodes though... just felt like there was something missing.
I guess it pulled away from individual characters and just showed snippets of all those left. it's nice they wrapped up the show but the ending seemed kinda hollow. It's like "oh, here we are all of the sudden". They had all of the build up earlier in the season and then a lull... after all that struggle it seemed too easy and too neat of an ending that they found the real Earth like by magic. Like Starbuck disappearing? wtf I guess they wanted to leave you with something to ponder. With Starbuck and the 6 plus Baltar "angels". I guess I just wasn't super charged about the ending. I didn't get the same excitement I did in the first half of the show. And yes, I watched Firefly. I thought it was an awesome show. Kinda bummed they didn't make more seasons. The movie was an okay wrap up to the show. |

Yeah Civ I do feel Season 2 was the peak as well. The BSG ending was interesting but I wanted more. I agree with Brock.
