My new ride!!!

I just got it home and stored in the garage. Spring can not come fast enough.

I'm trying to downsize some photos; sorry they're so big. Can't pull into the driveway for better shots as IT'S ALREADY SNOWING!!!

I almost PM'd you last week to see if she was near delivery.

A 10 right there. And yes, Santa is good but he sure comes at a bad time for you snow guys. Even though you are Santa I am sure.

Now you get to check the 10 day forecast for who knows how long.

Driving impressions will be subscribed for.

Did you end up going with the magnetic motor mounts option?

Thanks!

Yeah... I am Santa to myself, but it's still quite a Christmas present. My girlfriend is good with it. She's very happy for me. I'll get some more photos of her in a little Victoria's Secret outfit in the driver's seat; but not for you guys, sorry -private stock.

I did get the dynamic engine mounts, full leather (stitched on dash, doors, etc... ) and a few other goodies.

Haven't driven it other than 3 mph from one garage bay to the next at the dealer. As soon as you fire it up and move you know the car is hardcore. I won't be able to give impressions until spring because they is too much salt on the roads. I'll drive down to NYC in April and have the boys at Detailing Dynamics clear bra the entire front end, sills, behind the wheels, etc...

I already swapped out the ugly orange front side markers for the Euro clear ones and put the Porsche crest valve stem covers on; I'm sure you can see those!

April? That would be brutal for myself.

We are all kids at heart. You can always go sit in her, grab the wheel and go vrooom vrooom until launch.

IF you do some hard launches, eventually, I read the mounts make a big difference in wheel hop/shuddering.

I am not an envious person but you are pushing me.

Porsche has tenatively cut production for the 2010's already. I estimate about 400 have been produced -which includes some that are enroute. The current allocations cease the building cycle in a couple of weeks; so they should all be delivered by Jan.

Of that number, maybe 1/3rd have the engine mounts. They can be retro fitted, so not a huge deal, but it's double the initial cost: $2,600 or more.

Anyway, in addition to the benefit you pointed out, they eliminate some resonating in the 3-3.2k rev range and of course make full boogie mode like having solid mounts, while preserving ride quality when driving normal. Curious, when does one drive normal in a GT3?

Congrats mate.

Looks stunning and will be a hoot to drive. You'll have some fun on those trackdays and hopefully a good old battle royal with the odd GTR as well.

Thanks!

They match the calipers and red tails nicely and give the monochromatic interior some contrast and excitment. The laundry baskets don't match anything. I used those to carry the cash to the dealer.

Are you still tossing this idea around?

Either is good w/ the CW but IMO the present finish is the winner. Maybe down the road black?

Not anymore; I love the Ti finish. Porsche still has not released the black wheel option. I am not fond of the aftermarket black.

Good decision.

Although black is sporty and all it does give it a bit of richness, the best word I can think of, as is.

46 and not a cloud in the sky in Dallas. Off for a bacon and blue cheese burger.

Grats again!
