No one can fully understand VAG's reasoning for the lack of bringing their most exciting models to the US. My guess is they aren't willing to price as competitive as some European rivals.

The Scirocco is cheaper in most European markets than the Golf GTI, so not bringing it the the US is odd, it should be very price competitive.

I was generalising with my statement instead of picking out one model in particular. The Scirocco is one model which should be a roaring success in the US as it ticked every box so VAG's failure to offer it is odd, but it's one of many examples.

This thing looks alot better than the Scirocco and the GTi. If they offer the 2.0t with this body style I will be very tempted....
