Teknikens Värld - track comparison

Interesting results that paint a different opinion on how quick the RS5 is compared to it's main rivals.

Why do you assume that? Is it because it goes against all the other tests conducted so far.

You would reckon that this track would suit the M3 well according to the tests we have read so far. It has the tight corners to benefit it's perfectly balanced chassis and a long straight to benefit it's superior acceleration. Very odd for such a conflicting result, unless the rest are wrong.

No Footie, the rest aren't wrong.

What's the fuss about, 1:15.6 isn't a bad time, is it? Actually, that's a great time for the M3 convertible they tested.

Someone please explain how a 911 Turbo beat a GT2. Less weight + more power = slower lap time? I'm glad he didn't drive an F1 car. It would've been last!

South is quite right about it being the E93 which was tested at 1:15.6 but my post was against the C63 and IS-F which it comprehensively beat. It also posted a time only 0.3s slower than an R8v8. I look forward to seeing what time they get from an M3 Coupe.

But for those that are interested, here is how the RS5 has compared to the C63 on other tracks.

And against the IS-F

A remarkable difference between here and those other tests, questions do need to be asked.

I would hope the RS5 is quicker. The others are 2 years old.
