All those frivolous lawsuits in the 90s have just opened the floodgates to anyone thinking they can make some quick money.

Kids no longer can play games outside, kids don't have to stand for the pledge of allegiance, people sue fast food chains because they are fat, people plant fingers in food to sue, every super bowl commercial is protested against by some organization, black people are suing for reparations, etc.

Hell my uncle who is a renter has to be careful because one of his tenants said they would sue him if there was any ice on the ground during one of the latest storms. He told me he was afraid they would fall on purpose just to collect some money.

The saddest part is I know that people have faked injuries and lawsuits and collected their big money and meanwhile I have 2 herniated disks in my neck from an accident that was their fault, has been 4 years and still isn't resolved with them fighting it all the way.

Well said. The existing legal standards foster rediculous hyper-sensitivity and an understanding that you can get easy money by suing for every little annoyance.
