Cured addiction!
Ever since owning the 335i, I've been addicted to this forum... So much I turned it into part of my morning routine! I usually just browse before classes or work. The conclusion I've found is it's actually replaced my coffee intake! Who would of thought (coffee addiction lost to a bmw forum) and since I've lost weight (2 months). Whenever I get the urge I usually just browse the forum... Much safer I found....
Anyways just my findings... thought I'd share with you all. |

No way. I sit infront of the computer way more often than I used to. It comes along with way more snacking opportunities.

Many studies have shown that Coffee has beneficial effects on your body, especially your liver. In addition, coffee also has natural antioxidants to fight against radical-induced genetic/cell damage.

Antioxidant properties: Intakes of Antioxidants in Coffee, Wine, and Vegetables Are Correlated with Plasma Carotenoids in Humans http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/abstract/134/3/562 Chemical Characterization and Antioxidant Properties of Coffee Melanoidins http://pubs.acs.org/cgi-bin/abstract...jf025686o.html The inhibitory effects of coffee on radical-mediated oxidation and mutagenicity. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Citation In Vitro Antioxidant and ex Vivo Protective Activities of Green and Roasted Coffee http://pubs.acs.org/cgi-bin/abstract...jf990510g.html just a quick search on google... i'm sure i can find better articles if i actually spent time looking If you read, you'll find that coffee contributes approximately 8x the amount of antioxidants as does tea (typically known for its antioxidant properties) Beneficial-to-the-liver properties: Alcohol, Smoking, Cofee, and Cirrhosis http://aje.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/co...ct/136/10/1248 "Coffee drinking, but not tea drinking, was inversely related to alcoholic cirrhosis risk, with persons who drank four or more cups per day at one-fifth the risk of noncoffee drinkers. " Does coffee protect against liver cirrhosis? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract "The present study confirms, and further quantifies, the existence of an inverse association between coffee consumption and liver cirrhosis." Coffee, Liver enzymes, cirrhosis and liver cancer http://www.psic.info/coffee_liver_enzymes_apr05.pdf I would strongly recommend you, shyestsparks, read the last link--it's a good read!

I thought that coffee was acidic, and not too good for your cells. I don't drink it so I never really looked into it. I just assumed it was bad for you.

Yeah..this is usually the first thing I do in the morning. And since I have been out of town visiting my family..I have blockaded their computer room off and claimed it "my room". I put their obese weiner dog infront of the door and installed survelance cameras outside to know if my bitch of a sister is trying to kick down the door. lol
And Starbucks is still one of the things I'm addicted to..so ya'll have yet to sway me from that. When I drive through small towns without a Starbucks, I usually question the city's existence. lol. And just to let you know..REDBULL does not give you wings..that shit kills...

MMMMM! That takes you down...fast. lol. Maybe we should start an alcohol thread..favorite mixed drinks...
As if car forums could actually cure alcoholics from their addiction... "Hi...my name is Tyrone..." "Hi Tyrone...." "Have you sought help by joining a car forum before trying AA?" "I tried Ford and Kia.." "well...maybe that's why you're an alcoholic...?"

Does Smirnoff make Yager? If so..then yes...it was them too. All the alcoholic distributors are out to get me. lol. I'm not really a drinker anymore though...I've had my "wild year" and now I've calmed down...thank god.
