Anyone own a Tundra? I'm getting one.
As soon as I free of my E90, I'll be picking up a slightly used Toyota Tundra, extended cab, V8.
Anyone own one? Any complaints? Any perks? I'm probably getting a 2002-3, no lift kits (or anything aftermarket for that matter). Also.... anyone selling one? lol Matt |

I want the Tundra, taco's too small. I know the V8 is a gas killer, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
(I get an average of around 17 in the E90 anyway! lol) |

My dad has a 4dr TRD Tacoma. It's pretty bad ass. I know it's not a Tundra but if it's the same build quality then you'll be golden. As for the gas guzzler I read somewhere about the Tacoma that the bigger of the 2 engines actually got better gas milage then the smaller engine, while making more HP and Tq, something to do with it's cam timing or whatever. Either way it's something to look into. Good luck Matt.

I was gonna say, he is already getting 17 mpg on a inline-6, with the v8, I think he will get 10 mpg with his driving style.

Had a Tundra a few years back, then downsized to a tacoma. Really great truck, has power of course but other features such as air conditioning, stero system, etc. are all top of the line.
As for gas, it's not that bad. Almost the same as the tacoma, both were gas killers. I thought you were keeping your e90?

Already ran into one redneck in the area that believed the commercial of his truck being the fastest vehicle around. Got behind me at a red light revving his engine, then whipped around me at his first oppurtunity. Mehh, it's a friggin' truck
I have a truck also, that is used for daily hauling chores and such, that is what they are for. If you want something fast, get a car or motorcycle. Cheers! |
