Dating women with kid/s; deal breaker?

I am opposed to it.

Would you pursue a serious relationship with a women that has a kid or kids? before you answer, this woman is the hottest woman to you and has fit every requirement your simple brain could imagine?

Deal breaker?

Yes or no? Explain.

Have in the past, would again. Just remember, the kids are more important than you. If they like you, you are better than if just she likes you.

Long before I met my wife I dated a girl with 2 kids from 2 different dudes (yea, I wrapped it up tight) during a dry spell I was having with the ladies. I had fun with her sure...

When the baby daddy drama started happening. I looked for a way out without looking like a douche.. caught her in a lie and ended it.

Funny thing was she said she was tied up but I saw her a few years later pushing around a kid in a stroller. Found out she got knocked up and had lied to me about being tied up. Thank goodness for rubbers...

My conscience was clear..

Just depends on where you are in life IMO. When I was younger and tried dating a girl with kids it just didn't work out. It wasn't really the life I wanted at that time. If you want to go out every weekend, take her (and only her) on little vacations and things of that nature, it's very difficult especially if her kids are young.

Now that I'm in my 30s I am dating a girl with 2 kids. We've been together 2 years now and things are still great. I enjoy doing things as a family.

They're single mothers for a reason, typically.

I have had in the past but wouldn't again. I am also a father with 2 kids with 2 different girls. I'm trying my best to make the 2nd one work so I wouldn't be in the situation again.

Whoever you are happy with.

If you are happy with a single mom, and she's a great woman who loves you, makes your life better, and you generally couldn't imagine life without her, then why not?

I've seen high school sweet hearts who were each other's first lovers, end up hating each other and bitterly splitting in their 30s. I've seen two single parents date, and become a "Brady Bunch" and be the happiest people I know.

Judge people as individuals, not because of a tag or category they fit into.

Also true. I think it changes with age, time, and your own situation. In my 20s hell no.

If I was in my 30s (with a vasectomy) and I liked the kid, I would consider it. It would have to be a very unique and special person.

I think you're missing a big factor...the child. You mentioned, how great and happy the woman makes you, but are you also considering the child in this picture too?

It's a package deal, all or nothing. I'm sure there would be a woman that I can't imagine life without one day, but that same woman with a kid from a previous relationship is just plain difficult for me to comprehend. That's IMO.

EIDT: Also, the child needs to like you as a potential mother or father as well. So you have two people to please not one and vice versa

I thought that was implied, but yes, the child is important.

It may be difficult for you personally to comprehend, but there are people who have no problem with a child in the picture. That's why you can't judge people by categorizing them, especially if you haven't been in that situation yourself.

This is correct, I cannot judge. Never have and never will. I leave that to the man upstairs.

But, fair enough.

LOL...I've been facing this dilemma as well. Girl is 23, turning 24 this weekend. We've been hanging out a lot, I can tell she likes me, and her daughter loves me. So much so that she lays on me while watching TV, always wanting to play, etc. (daughter is 2 almost 3) I actually really like her kid but I'm only 25 so I feel young for a 3 year old daughter.

I feel bad for her daughter the dad is a complete douche and hasn't even been picking her up latley. My biggest concern is I haven't seen her naked yet and I'm wondering how everything's gonna look!

Not gonna date this girl, prob just set up a FTF situation and then in return for the poon, I will entertain the kid.
