Cool Next gen Mustang pics show WIDE track and IRS

Dunno how many here are following the next gen Mustang closely but here's some interesting pics showing a super wide track and IRS suspension.

IRS will make things much more interesting, that's for sure.

Just to clarify, this is a test mule which means a 2013 body on a 2015 chassis.

I think the 2015 Mustang is going to lay the smack down on the M3 unless BMW makes some changes to the M3. JMO

I'm think the same thing. Add the corvette to that list and the USA is going to be back in business with their favorite sports cars.

It's evolved a lot since then though. Even the live axle has evolved a lot. Comparing the tech back then to now, even if it's the same basic principle, is like comparing some of the old fuel injection tech to that of today.

Not the same.

It was half a joke and half truth. I know there's not where near the tech from todays suspension, no matter the layout.

With as much bang for the buck today's Mustang has, the only thing holding me back from getting one is not having IRS. My dad lets me take his GT500 for a spin every once in a while, and it's a blast, but every time I hit a bump (especially around a corner), I can feel the whole rear end shake. The interior could use some updating too, but that's another topic. I hope Ford knocks it out of the park with the 2015.

Why hate?

I was looking forward to the m235 in my garage. However, if Ford throws a more Euro flair to the body style, updated interior, and IRS - $10,000 over the cost of a M235, why not? Because of the lack of reliability, straight line acceleration, or lack of steering feel?. Oh wait, is that a Ford or BMW description?

What I think is funny is that you could probably get a 2015 GT with nice options and have money left over for purchasing a used E46M3 for the price of a new 2015M3. And the 2015 M3 will probably have some nasty 6 cylinder with twin turbo's. I guess I am just not that much of a fanboy of BMW anymore.

There won't be a 2015 M3. There WILL be a 2015 M4. Which would spank the GT500. And the Boss, which is much better.

Maybe the new 3.0 twin turbo M4 will have twice the power of the current N54/N55. I think BMW is going backwards. But that is just my opinion. Right now you can mod an E90 M3 and make how much power? What is the new M4 going to do with engine mods.....
