Would you vote for an Atheist for President of US?
Here is where HE stands on issues:
I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored. I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability. I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity. I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn. I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations, and that the best government is that which governs least. I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people. I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times. I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world. FINALLY, I DON’T BELIEVE IN GOD.

The guy has 258 posts...why would this be spam?
btw I'd vote for him. Nowhere in any gov't doc does it say that the gov't can influence religion or whatever. I myself am agnostic. Then again, I could care less if he was a strong believer in religion.

Would I vote for someone who's not dumb enough to believe that the earth was not created through debris congregating by gravity?
I would vote for no one else.

Your post confuses me, O-Cha....
It's the double negative that's throwing me off... What exactly are you saying? |

Doesn't matter, that person would never win. Bible belt wouldn't allow them to.

And the double negatives were on purpose so that people couldn't flame. At least not easily.

Unfortunately, it would never pass here...
Just if you watched the debate last night, one of the "important" questions was Do you believe in everything The Bible says and so on... And they went on and on... There was not a single question on healthcare, education and some realy important topics... If the candidate showed to be worthy, yes I'd vote for him/her, his/her religious preference would be the last thing on my mind... |

Yes, I'd definitely vote for them. But like everyone's said; they'd never win. The general American public still wants a white middle-aged god-fearing family man in charge.

i think the concept of being a religious president just shows that you have values. but in no way would i vote a president based on religion that would be horribly ridiculous... separation of church and state... middle east has to get up on that.
