Any more info on this? I am really interested in visiting Spain. Got a link to the villa?

I did 2 weeks in Hawaii last August and Singapore/Bali/Thailand this past March.

I'm looking to do Europe this coming Spring. Visiting a friend in Turkey and maybe 1-2 other countries. ~7-10 day timeframe. Any suggestions? Looking to experience culture, food, and scenery (I like to hike).

Also, how does everyone go about booking trips? I'm not into doing package deals, as I like to do my own thing and not be fixed/locked in to anything. For SE Asia, I just booked the flights and stayed in "nice" hostels for cheap.

culture - france, as much as i hate france
food - italy or spain
scenery - austria, germany, or switzerland (alpine areas)

as far as booking goes, depending on the complexity of your itinerary, talking to a travel agent might be beneficial, and you might save a little money. otherwise, you can book two destinations on one itinerary with expedia, but you'll have to book separately for any subsequent destinations. i usually book everything individually, which is costlier, but give me the most flexibility. for example, booking hotels through the hotel's website allows me to change, extend, or leave early a lot easier, without losing the portion of non-refundable, prepaid hotel from agency sites.
