This is such BS, I just bought a 2011 BMW X5 in December and they said everything was going to be upgradeable
I'm f***ing furious Crimson92 -- I can't send you a PM, are you in San Diego too? e-mail me, gianni@pacificatms.com, we should get everyone together that has a 2011 and doesn't have access to this upgrade and collectively bitch at the dealerships |

Retrofit 6NR
According to email info from BMW plant Dingolfing the retrofit is scheduled to be available 06/11, which sounds good to me. No info regarding costs, but I guess it will be ~ 200€. In addition you will need to have the cradle. I have the first release of the media snap in, which heats up pretty fast. I will ask BMW for a change once the new model will be available.
Greetings from Munich Habsinger |

I am confused Should I wait or just do an aftermarket one? Do you have the e-mail? My service rep at the dealership couldn't get any details! I have Bluetooth audio and phone etc and I'm not sure if my car will be able to do this OEM through the dealership, and I don't want to void my warranty Gianni |

Hi, after missing 6NR with my 12/2010 535d F10 M Sport (oyster, sapphire black) I was reading here in the forum that it won't be retrofitable.
But I couldn't believe that and contacted the plant directly via my salesrep. Then he forwarded their email response (in german) to me which included a screenshot of the internal order with planned release date for the retrofit. Let's hope BMW will deliver now on time. Habsinger PS: I'm currently away from home, but can post the internal order# after my return so that your salesreps can refer to this # for further investigation. Cheers from Munich Habsinger |

Integration of applications like coyote or other speedtrap warning systems would also be a big success i think! |
