Motor Trend previews the 2008 Corvette
For once they actually seem to like a Corvette that doesn't have a Z06 badge..

Looks good. What's up with this picture, though? The gear shift knob looks weird, like it's reversed or something. It doesn't look like 1-2-3-4-5-6-R are in the right place, or maybe my eyes are funny.

Very nice, but not my taste. Having my choice between that or a 335i I'd have to chose the 335i. I do like Corvettes though. I feel they're one of the only good American cars out there. If I were so inclined I could Procede the 335i and be as fast as the C6, plus far more luxurious. Of course, Corvette wins in the handling department. Wonder how the 2008 M3 would compare up with the new 2008 C6?

The M3 and C6 should be close but unless the M3 surprises us all and runs 4.0-4.1 0-60's and low 12's in the 1/4 it's going to lose the straight line races. On a track I would expect the race to be close but it will be interesting to see how they do against each other. Should be some good races. |

Good question. I would imagine the C6 would be a little faster (more torque 350lbs lighter (more aggressive gearing???)). Of course the most appropriate comparison is the Z06 vs the new M3. The prices match up better.

Good point in terms of price but if that's the contest there isn't one. Seeing as how the Z06 is running neck and neck with GT3's and the like, the new M3 has no chance against a Z06.
