Not quite, but I have a 135i and a Z3 M Coupe, but have extensively driven and tracked a Z4 M Coupe and driven my share of 335i's. What are you looking for? They're very different cars, deliver power in different ways, respond to inputs differently and have very different break away characteristics.

Im more interested in handling, response, and fun factor as a DD car. I'm thinking of trading in my 335i for the M coupe.

S54 compared to an N54 is pretty different. The S54 really comes alive above 5k rpm, or right about where the N54 is becoming pretty useless. Size is clearly a big difference, and the immediacy of turn in on the M Coupe will be much better. The M Coupe will ride a lot rougher and be a little nervous compared to the 335i.

I daily drive my Z3 M Coupe and really don't see many draw backs aside from the obvious lack of rear seats and small interior volume. If you don't need the practicality, the rawness, rareness and fun of the M Coupe would certainly win out for me.

I daily drive a M coupe. The suspension will be much harder than a 335i, and will feel much smaller / darker inside. Acceleration is no faster than a stock 335, but it feels faster due to its size / sound.

You do get a lot of compliments and/or questions when stopped, so if you want to be incognito, it may not be the best car.

No real way to get more power out of the engine unless you go with a supercharger option. Headers and tune is pretty much the extent of modifying the n/a engine to make more power. . .

I think the Z4M is a much more "focused" car than a 335, but comes with its own set of limitations. It's not very comfortable over long ranges, and its thirstier. There's little room inside for gear, and the infotainment system is two generations behind the current one.

I still love mine as it puts a smile on my face just about every time I drive it.

Good luck w/ the shopping!

They quoted trade in for my 07 335i with sport package for $19k. As for the 06 M coupe, looks like it is fully loaded.

Price $27,990
Mileage 31,431
Titanium Silver
Imola Red

Is that a good price? How much lower, if possible, do you guys think I can deal for? Thanks

That sounds about right for the miles, so I wouldn't expect a lot of wiggle room, maybe a grand or so. Nice color combo.

Went from a 2008 335i E90 to a 2010 m3 E90. Couldn't mod the 335i to get the performance of the M3 for the price difference & maintain reliability/warranty.
