1 series?

hey,
With all the buzz about the 1 series coupe going around, I was just wondering, is the coupe the only variant of the 1 series coming to Canada? or are they going to bring the hatchback over too?
Been looking around and people seem to only talk about the coupe. I personally don't think the coupe looks very good, but I do love the hatchback, and would definitely get one if offered here.

From the looks of it, Canada is only getting the coupe/convertible as well.

BMW learned 20 years ago that we don't do hatches really well as a premium brand. Audi is still learning this with the A3 and MB is really getting a good lesson on the same topic with the insanely unsuccessfull B class

Plus the hatch 1 series in Europe is a sales disappointment for BMW (not a commercial failure, just selling in numbers under internal projections), largely bcs its looks (rear view) has not caught on and combined with a more cramped rear quarter than the competition (VW Peugeot, Fiat, Ford, Opel) is making the car less desirable than BMW had hoped. So now the boys are trying to figure out how to reskin the next generation to make it more appealing.
