Home Theater Audio Question

I'm trying to connect my 2 Sonos Play:5 speakers to my TV audio output; however, my TV only has 1 set of audio out (red R /white L)

I bought RCA Y splitters. Now, do I set it up like this x2 for R/L:

or this for R/L:

you only need 1 set. if you are mixing l/r w/ r/l you will have a shitty version of mono. Just use a stereo RCA to mini and you'll be fine
