No.....most ads are geared toward what you have been looking at. I was just on amazon looking at music and I just got a ad for Amazon.com ......

Aware of that, but I 1) clear my cache and history when I close my browser, and that is the first page I opened this morning and 2) really don't care for most P-cars, so you can rest assured I wasn't searching for/looking at them *lol*

If the Forum is using google to provide ads and google knows who you are, like logging into your google account they keep track of what you are doing and put up ads which they deem appropriate for your liking. As someone said above, there are plugin you can get for your internet browser which will allow you to block the ad, the nice side affect is the pages usually load a lot faster.
Clearing out yous caches and cookies will help google not tracking everything you are doing and every search you done and every ad you may have clicked on. |

Bimmerpost is probably part of an ad network that sells real estate (jargon for ad placements) to their clients. Clients can range from anything, but the key is targeting the most relevant ad to maximize exposure. Since this is a car forum, it makes sense. Prolly targeted to a certain demographic who are interested in automobiles.
If you want to get real technical, they could go deeper into targeting ads to you by way of installing a cookie on your computer. That will essentially learn your behavior in which websites you visit and sorta builds a profile of your interests. Yea it sounds stalkerish but that's the jist of it.
