I wonder if it's a hill holder, like the manual BMW has? As it will hold the brakes for ~3 to 4 seconds before it releases (of course, it does need to be in gear though).

She may have messed up the car, but the car extracted its revenge at the last second when she face planted into the door. I laughed pretty hard.

Looks to me like the car was in D with the rear wheels below a curb. After she got out, the car started to gain enough forward momentum to climb the curb and accelerate.

She actually did that to herself. You can see that when it hits the parked car the door slams shut, then she actually opens the door as it mobs past her. At least her face helped break her fall.
